Ever wanted to start a fire without matches? Gather dry tinder like grass, leaves, or bark. Find a flat piece of wood and carve a small notch. Place tinder in the notch. Use a stick, rub it between your palms, applying pressure downwards into the notch. The friction creates an ember. Transfer the ember to your tinder pile and blow gently until it ignites. Practice makes perfect!
