I've been doing variations of this most of my adult life and I agree it's not just the best way to start your day, but the best way to maintain your body as you age. When you develop introspective awareness of your body & joints this becomes more natural and you don't have to do such a prescriptive "routine".

I gave this a run through and I appreciated the challenge of the routine. Especially the toes! I have some nerve damage I'm working out, toes have been an area of extra struggle. The focus on each isolated movement reinforced the value of some prescriptive routines, I appreciate the challenge to get back to basics!
