Played Terraforming Mars - Expedition Ares last week.

You know, i dont like it very much first 2 plays. But more i played - more i like it...
(I didnt play original Mars btw).

Its pretty fast (2.5 hours on 4 ppl), we played last one in 1.5 hours (we all know the rules and we was fast on turns).

same sentiments. I think over time the game got faster and faster with our group. My biggest gripe is the board size/pieces are VERY small. The clear cubes obscure the track and any table bump can mess up everything. With that said, it still has a place on my shelf.

Why they didnt do 2-layer board... this is so sad...

I'm assuming it was because they pushed for retail box to hit a deadline so that it could show up in Target. I believe they had launched a 2nd KS for extras like a game mat to help with the look of the game
