Farcaster uses registry contracts and hubs as technology. They are important for creating accounts, managing data, and authorizing messages. The Protocol has three main types of contracts: Id Registry: Allows users to register, transfer, and restore Farcaster accounts. Each user is identified by a unique number (fid), which is assigned to the Ethereum address during registration. Storage Registry: provides an opportunity to rent storage by making payments in Ethereum. Storage prices are set in US dollars and converted to ETH using the Chainlink oracle. Key Registry: Responsible for keys for applications. Keys can be added or deleted at any time.
