I want to change myself and my attitude to life. On my dad's line almost all alcoholics. My dad is not alive now, unfortunately, and did not raise me, but I still love him, although I am offended in my heart. My mom is a hoarder of garbage, all 30 years so live in the dirt, because it is a real disease. And home is our defense, our fortress. I have never had it and I have not learned to protect myself, very weak-willed, and now I am addicted to alcohol on stress. I know it's a problem, please help me with advice on how to pull myself together and stop being a victim.

My parents are in their 80s. They need care. I pay for a nurse, buy medicines for them, as their pension is not enough for that. But, to be honest, I do it only because otherwise society will judge me, my friends will stop communicating with me and even my husband, for whom parents are sacred, will divorce me. And my parents gave me nothing. They gave birth to me late, they were 42-43 years old. Openly poor childhood, because they did not aspire to anything and worked all their lives at the same jobs. No start in life. I didn't get a college degree because there was no opportunity. I got a normal job without it, but it does not cancel the fact that I had the desire to study, and my parents could not even feed me during my studies, so this idea had to be abandoned.

@viynttnn Unfortunately, my husband is a very withdrawn person. He reads a lot, plays on the computer, watches a lot of science shows, hardly ever gets in contact with anyone. He has practically no friends, only one best friend from childhood. He doesn't need anyone, as he says he has enough family (me and our two kids) for daily socializing. Plus coworkers of course.
He is a wonderful husband - earns well, gives all the money to me, at home everything can do, hands golden, with children well gets along and lessons with them does, I do not limit me in anything, I can go where I want and buy what I want, in bed everything is great. But I can't understand what I'm missing... Maybe just joint outings somewhere.
