Then, as Jared crossed the line snapped, dropping him 30-40ft on his back. The raw emotions that would've gone through a young kid's mind to have aspects of life stripped away from him. It had to be brutal. Though, that didn't stop Jared. The man in him wouldn't put up with being in a chair, stuck. 

He pushed himself to relearn how to walk and function again. Having that sort of fighter spirit is what people strive for. He harnessed it and never stopped trying. I would love to have 1/8th of the spirit he has."

Being the largest supporter, they recommended naming the cup after the Counter-Strike player Jared "Hol1day". 

This is his story.

"He is a childhood friend of mine, played basketball and football with him as youngin. He was super sport oriented through most of his school. He's the type of kid that would hunt before school and practice. He ran cross country too. He helped our school start it's very first LAN party in 2009. Thus it was sorta a big deal for us nerds. 

We played Quake and BF2 during these lans. We'd have lans over at a buddies house and play AOE. His life took a turn in our senior year of high school. He and a couple of our friends went on a hiking trip together outside of our home town. They ended up rigging a zipline. Now these were the kids that would always put safety first. They double and triple checked the lines and two were able to cross the line unharmed.
