I don't think you're being fair. Given new information, it recalculates. It holds user input as a high confidence source, but that's how they build a user-facing product. The "excellent point" is just it being overly polite.

have you tried this write a sentence that follows the same rules as the sentence "i sold bowls to bold souls" where there are 4 key words, sold bowls bold and souls, and 1 and 3 end the same, 2 and 4 end the same, 1 and 4 start the same, and 2 and 3 start the same.

It’s hard to judge the intelligence of AI here. From the appearance, we might think it still infers the next word based on statistics and ignore some information, and miss logic. But, what if they think it is a typo, because not many wolves are vegetarian. Compared with humans people might lose this info too if they don’t care.
