Though I hold them to lower standards than mathematicians for this stuff, I also hate when investoooooors describe a period of exponential growth within a sigmoid process as something going “parabolic”—uhh, parabolas go up and then come symmetrically right back down, that’s not really what you’re looking for!

Yeah! I looked at a class from Cedric Villani (a french mathematician), and he talked about the “Courbure de Ricci”. Why is it called “Courbure” if it has nothing to do with curves ?
