You can put any word in front of DAO and build towards the Schelling point of what that would be, so NounsDAO plays at the general case. I think of the Schelling point of any DAO as what the word in front of DAO “wants”. For me a noun “wants” to mean something, so that’s the goal of NounsDAO.

None of the replies seem to directly answer your question. I looked it up and the genesis tweet said “After pronouns, there were Nouns” (https://x.com/punk4156/status/1400154938186031104). Sounds like a play on the concept of identity where one’s “noun” on the blockchain is an avatar (cf. the 2nd reply on X).

Yes, all but one is a verb technically I think. The way it is drawn seems to imply the action more than the thing itself. Sometimes the accessory attributes (also mostly nouns and not all English!) can thematically modify the whole into becoming a new compound noun.
