How did you go about finding your family therapist? It's something I've been thinking about to for my family but am at a loss in terms of where to start

The website HEADWAY is really great. It sorts it by people that accept your specific insurance and your location, etc. we also found our couples therapist that way. Lmk if it helps!!::):)

As someone who’s seen lots of therapists in my life and also manage my kid’s therapists over the years, try to get referrals from people who are seeing therapists they think are good, or even from those therapists if they don’t have room or aren’t the type you’re interested in, and then - most importantly - interview whomever you’re considering. In order for therapy to be beneficial, gotta make sure you vibe w the therapist and that their values match yours. Very highly recommend trying to find someone who does EFT - emotionally focused therapy. Works a lot on feelings which can be esp beneficial for relational stuff like families.
