While @tervo could mass ban (and should, to retain /replyguy quality), the giveaway only folks will flock to another channel.

It’s a bandaid on the problem for Farcaster/Degen, but a solution for /replyguys.

Anyone else have ideas on how to combat it?

this is not just my/replyguy problem

and it is not going to get better by doing nothing

it’s not going to get better by “oh just mute and ban”

evidently doesn’t get any better even after i yell ab it twice in a week

needs serious work

I think free stuff will always attract high volume + lower quality users.  

If you equate it to meme/altcoins it’s like accumulation in the lows where the experience isn’t amazing but # of unique holders is growing.

Agreed. When money is involved people will always try to min-max it. Maybe don't allow tips in certain channels? I'll have to think about this some more.
