As a former founder and current investor, I focus on understanding the why behind what someone is building, along with their motivation and drive (and other things ofc). 

There’s a clear difference between founders driven by a genuine desire to create something they believe the world needs versus those who are simply throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks until they burn all the money. 🤷
