We focus too much on optimality (speed, frictionlessness, winner-take-all dynamics, etc.) at the expense of robustness (ability to recover from and/or prevent disasters, elimination of single points of failure, diversification of inputs/modes of operation, etc.) More of a cultural thing than about particular groups.

The vibes / technocracy axis is overly skewed toward the former. Capturing attention and being able to build cohesive brands is so valuable that it confers a disproportionate power vs boring down-to-earth proficiency like controlling water is the only thing needed to rule the mad max citadel, nothing else matters
