Is he hero/villain from left/right povs?

I think the left perspective was fragmented from "whistleblower hero" to "sex criminal?". The right is probably split between libertarian whistleblower support and militaristic disdain for leaking military secrets.

Hero IMO. Feel like the right never liked him (but the right was very different at that time). And the left decided to not like him anymore once he published the DNC emails

I guess it also depends on which country one comes from. Hero to many, villain to some!
