What’s the most basic ambiguity you entertain about the nature of the world?

For eg: world is progressing vs declining.

A dichotomy you actually care about that creates active conflict in your thinking, but you really don’t know which kind of world you’re in.

The original misunderstanding I had of the world will always be special to me

The world is as happy today, as the world has been on every point of history.

By the time I retire (say three to four decades from now), will "retirement" still be a thing (and what will it look like), or will the world/civilisation/society/wherever I happen to occupy at the time have collapsed.

In terms of my broader thinking: Is reality fundamentally discrete or continuous?

In terms of my day-to-day life: Is "happiness" a valid metric for making decisions and judging their consequences?
