Biometrics are public keys you can’t throw away or hide. That’s why recognizing them can be the basis for tractable and sybil-resistant federated blocking (eg no-fly lists, Face ID). AI can be trained to recognize these. Only non-AI alt is monopolistic unique identifiers like passports.

There’s something here that feels like it rhymes with the idea that the state is that which has a monopoly on violence. A centralized (controlled?) system is that which has the ability to block/exclude? (That’s not it, but maybe something in that general direction?)

I think there is the idea of identity tho. A state is an identity people ascribe to until it has enough critical mass to hold its own. Then it has a gravity of its own to pull things into. Not sure if the mass is more people or more aspects of an individual or prob both. Once it gets large enough escaping takes energy.
