Lego is fun and insight-generating for engineering meditation but also clearly a toy medium. At some point most ambitious people will want a more real engineering medium for their ambitions. It takes a special kind of narrow ambition to get super ambitious within Legospace, as in the really complex stunt builds you see. This makes me wonder: Might the apparent ambition deficit in the world be a function of over-legofication of ambition domains? Like, VCs bemoan too few ambitious entrepreneurs. Maybe the problem is SV playbook is too Lego-like and filters for only a very narrow kind of ambition?
