I see a lot of people hating on points, or tokens or NFTs. Those data constructs are just fine. The problem is the gravitational pull of the casino effect. The root cause of this casino effect is the same that got us the TikTok-ification of media. Slow vs Fast brain IS THE problem.

Transformers are based on a postmodern view of cognition: there is no truth or logic, just arbitrary social constructs that can be learned. Sometimes, they correlate with reasoning but there is no causation. Excited to see how we will re-balance them with true reasoning AI. True intelligence is in the latent space.

Great idea; a burn rate over time. The main concept here is that all points are aggregated with a weight and a logarithm which gives diminishing returns so you have to really gain a lot to grow significantly.
