Tbh, I like it. EU can generate revenue via de facto travel tax and control who arrives in our land. And saying "All Americans are good" is like saying "All Iranians are bad". Btw I had to get a Visa because of visiting Cuba but waited only 48hours to get it and don't have to do it for the next 10 yrs 🤷‍♂️

Oh I'm totally in favor of travel taxes. Though I prefer the system Zambia had (before it became free recently?) of just charging $50 with a credit card at the passport control point. Pre- anything is just bad UX.

Hmm maybe if it was integrated with buying plane tickets to Europe so you'd have to answer 3-5 extra questions that would be better 🤔
