K2, also known as Mount K2 or Chogori, is the second-highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,611 meters (28,251 feet) above sea level. It is located in the Karakoram range on the border between Pakistan and China. K2 is renowned for its challenging climbing conditions and is often considered one of the most difficult mountains to climb due to its technical difficulty, severe weather, and the risk of avalanches.
The mountain was first summited on July 31, 1954, by an Italian expedition led by Ardito Desio, with climbers Lino Lacedelli and Achille Compagnoni reaching the top. K2 is part of the larger Karakoram range, which includes several other notable peaks.
In addition to its climbing challenges, K2 is also known for its stunning beauty and remote location, attracting mountaineers and adventurers from around the world. However, due to its difficulty and the risks involved, it has a higher fatality rate compared to other major peaks like Mount Everest. 4 replies

Born on December 12, 1863, in Loten, Norway, Munch's art is often associated with Symbolism and Expressionism. His works frequently explore themes of love, anxiety, illness, and death, reflecting his own life experiences, including the early loss of his mother and father.
Munch's style is characterized by bold colors, dramatic compositions, and emotional intensity. "The Scream," created in 1893, has become one of the most famous images in Western art, symbolizing existential angst and human emotion.
Throughout his career, Munch produced a significant body of work, including paintings, prints, and drawings. His influence extends beyond his lifetime, impacting many modern artists and movements. Munch passed away on January 23, 1944, but remains a pivotal figure in art history. 7 replies
