Also, as I’ve mentioned before I’ve been battling a sickness that knocks me down for 3-4 weeks at a time, followed by a brief healthy spell. I’ve been delaying sharing all of this, hoping I’d get past this illness. But since that hasn’t happened—fuck it, here we go. It was past time to get this out in the world. Would love to discuss with any of you that any of these topics intersect with.

We’re passing on 85% of all funds to Founders’ Edge coaches, clients, and SBS Justice Initiative, and aiming to increase that to 90+% within a few years. We’re creating the first decentralized, autonomous, ongoing social good business model for the blockchain. Thoughts?

The plan as we grow is for my share to shrink and SBS’s share to increase, reversing the current percentages. This structure ensures that funds are distributed trustlessly and autonomously on the blockchain, eliminating the need for a bloated, centralized organization.

That closure, while devastating, led me to Founders’ Edge—a decentralized cohort of world-class coaches providing coaching to the next generation of leaders across web3 and beyond. A year ago, on the day we closed the nonprofit I co-founded, I bought this beautiful piece of art. It was my first startup, the result of 8 years of really hard work, and my baby. I wanted to memorialize the loss for myself, and “Memory Loss” by @bryanbrinkman was the perfect way to commemorate this bittersweet day.

A founder’s ability to grind is a superpower. But what happens when we can’t “out-effort” problems anymore? I’ve had to confront this bc of chronic illness, but nearly all founders face it in some form - marriage, kids, aging, etc. So what changes do we make now, in preparation for this reality?
