Hello everyone. Today we have the fourth place 4. Joe Louis One of the most famous heavyweight champions of the world, Joe Louis, still holds the record for the longest tenure of this title (11 years, 8 months and 7 days) and the number of defenses — 25. Louis gained national love in the United States by defeating Max Schmeling in a rematch in 1938. It took place two years after the first fight, in which Luis suffered the first defeat of his career. As The Ring magazine notes, before the first fight for the world title in 1937, Louis defeated ten and lost to only one boxer from the top 10 of The Ring in the heavyweight division, and of the 25 title defenses, he spent 17 against boxers from the top 10, 7 of them against the first number of the rating. Louis retired from boxing in 1949 with the rank of world champion, but returned to the ring in 1952 due to debts to the tax service, which haunted him for a long time. Louis earned about $4.6 million in the ring, but the boxer got about 800 thousand of them.
