Hi everybody. How are you? Today we have the 8th place 8. Jack Johnson USA Years of performances: 1897-1928 Track record: 77-13-14 (48 KO) The first black heavyweight world champion, Jack Johnson, held the title from 1908 to 1915, and in many ways his career echoes that of another prominent black American boxer, Muhammad Ali. Johnson dominated his rivals in the ring and was a violator of public peace and order outside it, given the situation of blacks at that time in the United States. He was forced to flee both countries and live and box in Europe and South America to avoid going to prison. Disgruntled enthusiasts even managed to convince undefeated former world champion James Jeffries to return to the ring to take the title from Johnson, but Jeffries was defeated. Among the enthusiasts was Jack London, who coined the concept of the "great white hope".
