A week after publicly picking up cigarette butts at the park, the local gov installed 19 of these. The community has picked up 2250 butts this week alone! Part of my flow goals was to create awareness and promote changes like this even if I don't work with the gov directly. What change can we inspire next? ⌐◨-◨

A few new books for the public park📚 These are from a campaign called “Let’s Better Costa Rica” and they’re like a self-guided course with daily activities on responsibility and self-esteem for young people. Can you think of incentives for people to actually pick them up if they see them at the park? 🤔

On the way home from the /flows cleanup I met this good boy. I didn’t have the kibble on me but I’m thinking about leaving the compostable bowls in secure spots that they can access 🤔 As you can see there’s also a bunch of trash where he was looking for food. Next time I will clean that up too.

The toughest part of yesterday’s cleanup was picking up one by one what felt like hundreds of cigarette butts around this bench. These guys can take up to 14 years to decompose and pose a real threat to animals.

Not a dog, but some workers came across this little guy who looked pretty ill. We helped them take him to the vet for inspection and basic meds and now they’re keeping him as their workplace pet 🐱💚

Looking around Vrbs' growth metrics and finding out that Costa Rica has almost as many visitors as the UK was such a surprise! Not bad for a country that's barely web3 aware. Amazing to see Brazil and many Asian countries making the ranks too 💚
