Why is capitalism the answer ?

This trend seems to change significantly in 1965, but I can’t think of anything that happened with capitalism around then

Less imperial wars for the first time in centuries

It's probably more like globalization as a result of capitalism in the US, the 1 to n era as Thiel would call it started around that time

The major impacts on the chart:

1. Green Revolution

2. China starting process of becoming more capitalist / less communist

3. Pax Americana post WWII was good for growth capitalism, global trade which helped the poorest countries
