Looking for a Rust engineer to work on Farcaster Snapchain. 

It's a new social consensus layer built with malachite, a tendermint consensus protocol. Goal is &gt;9,000 TPS for social transactions.

You can use a Git URL + a rev ID + a path to select crates from a workspace. Cargo will traverse the directory until it finds a Cargo.toml to read dependencies from. You don't need to clone in another folder and checkout a commit hash!

Or maybe I don't understand anything! My fork only uses Cargo.toml and it compiles on the latest version of the toolchain.

If the changes are not relevant anyways, please use Git submodules for that kind of trickery. Instead of cloning & checkout, people will just have to init with the recursive option !!
