Q4 Dev Survey Summary

We had over 46 respondents, 33 of whom were actively building apps on Farcaster. Here are the summarized results. 

1. NPS improved from 8 to 15 

Still a long way to before we're happy with our developer experience, but we're making progress in the right direction.

2. Usage of Warpcast API is down from 80% to 50%

People are migrating to Neynar or directly using Hubble instead of relying on Warpcast APIs. This is great progress since we're planning to deprecate Warpcast APIs by end of year.

3. Main points expressed by users are: 

- Documentation is hard to find, understand and out of date
- Authentication is complicated

4. JS/TS and SQL continue to be the dominant DB and language developers are familiar with

5. NextJS and Vercel is the preferred deployment stack (~50%)

6. 80% of responders have attended or watched a dev call

Would be interested in knowing how you’re reaching out to your audience. Is this through an open call for answers in Warpcast? Or through DMs to targeted builder teams?

unfortunately these numbers are too low to be statistically useful. The numbers at each reading could swing wildly, leading to schizophrenic decisions about experience changes. For example, if just two people didn't respond, your NPS would have gone to 28.
