Warpcast Experiment: X-Posting A few users who were active on X but not FC were invited to cross post. We want to see if cross posting makes them more likely to engage with Farcaster (beyond the cross post). If that happens, we'll roll it out more broadly. If it doesn't we may pause it.

We started with ~5 users last week and will onboard another 10 this week. The criteria is that you already have an FC account and that you are very active on X with a large following. We plan to run the experiment for a few weeks before making a decision.

appreciate the update, especially since folks in the community had spotted the accounts... and I was trying to engage a ghost version of Mert to no avail. and was joking Marc was returning to farm Moxie. do they get notices or something to help them realize their X posts are cast here?

I love the idea, and if kept, would eventually like to see some subtle messaging like “Cross posted from X” almost in the way Twitter used to include which client a tweet was casted from. I think it comes off much more transparent, and may even pave an avenue of officially cross posting from other platforms!

vibe check: it’s ok, not too exciting knowing the caster will not reply to you unless they are on fc. would be good if it had a small label that the cast was a repost from twitter so we know not to engage but still can consume the content if wanted.

If it's quality content that fits the culture and they're actually engaging here, then great. I don't particularly like going to X/Twitter, so getting more people here is generally a good thing. But if they're just going to replicate Xitter here? Nope. No thank you.

I’m in intrigued but I noticed some of the accounts right away. I think most people enjoy the vibes here because we can engage. I don’t really care for broadcast only content. I like discussions. If they aren’t here having those, what’s the point?

Hey @v, been noticing the same thing since I saw @proxystudio.eth's cast. Did a quick weekend project for just this. www.autocast.ai Would be growing this out as an outbound integration to my other product: drafts (hootsuite for farcaster). Have more features in the roadmap like channel-casting and moxie analytics to provide more flexibility and gratitude for people to post on farcaster. Would love to discuss this out.
