We’re making a few changes to Warpcast Rewards this week: 1. If you earn > $600 and live in the US, you’ll have to fill out a 1099 to collect further rewards.
 2. If we don’t know which country you’re in, we won’t be able to send you any rewards.

Who is affected by this? 1. A small handful of users are close to the $600 threshold, we'll reach out to you with instructions. 2. Users who signed up outside of Warpcast or who travel frequently will be affected by this, we'll provide a way to verify your location if you want to keep receiving rewards.

Hmmm. Sounds very annoying. Unrelated question, would you have to deal with this regulation if you were giving out idk let’s call it warplet tokens.

I’m down with this. Would like to get a 1099 from Merkle. Of course, a W2 would be even better.

isn't the $600 rule per transaction? max reward is $500, right? https://www.cnbc.com/select/1099-k-tax-rules

Can use Coinbase verifications for country (EAS attestations) I actually wanted to build an onchain rewards product that would have packaged that and 1099s into an onchain payout engine We’ve had to do something similar for a lot of coinbase products Was hard to justify the investment to productive though. Would Merkle pay to have all this handled?
