I just recently found out tagging is frowned upon by the algorithm as well as recasting, over quote casting. It’s discouraging, but trying to adjust to appease this algorithm. It all counts against my rewards in the end, but figuring out how to maneuver through the pain and adjust accordingly.

I know that yo u all are trying to even the playing field by adjusting based on follower counts to help newer folks. Does the current system take into account active accounts only? When @betashop.eth removed accounts that weren’t active in the last 60 days, it really gave the middle class a leg up in FarScores. Many of my followers have churned and will probably not come back.

The follower to engagement ratio is supposed to protect smaller accounts but it’s screwing over any accounts that accrued bot or now-inactive following over time One-hit bangers should totally be rewarded but consistency matters more in the long run. Sporadically active accounts should not be eligible for the top rewards even for bangers. Small/new accounts should be able to get rewards/discoverability without preexisting relationships with popular accounts. That said, I hate to say it, but new accounts should be getting rewards for showing up consistently but shouldn’t qualify for the top tiers, at least not right away. As in, there should be some kind of “probation period”. Will allow users actually interested in the ecosystem to put in some work and gain following naturally while sharing a little bit of the community reward pie. As in, if you start at X but put in the work, and your presence is meaningful, you’ll go to 1000X Proof of work

I’m wondering the relationship between the rewards program and the casts being shown on the feed Bc they seem related but one affects the other in an unknown way (if you don’t get shown then people won’t engage and there won’t be rewards…and if you aren’t ranked then people won’t discover you and won’t engage..) Personally I’m more motivated in having my casts shown on feed than the rewards program per se 😅

I have zero complaints, don’t pay attention to them. If I earn a bit great, if not cest la vie. Though admittedly if number was bigger I may pay more attention or feel differently.

Just uninstalled the frame. I feel like every week it’s just telling me my casts are mid and it’s not enough money to put more effort to trying to win.

No complaints per se but it would be cool to see rewards go to different types accounts/content and more visibility into newer or niche accounts. For example, 20% of winners slots in each tier was reserved for accounts with sub 1k followers. Or some sort of distribution based on tiers. Could be cool to implement some sort of “reward forward” feature wherein winners could opt to send their rewards to others. Kind of like gifting warps. I’m imagining something like “Would you like to reward it forward?” at the end of the current notification

Points are way too heavily weighted on engagement from top accounts (prob by OpenRank?). Some of the most active and thus core users of WC are users in the 300-2000 OR score range who don’t receive much engagement from the top 200-500

The main complaint is that it’s unclear how the score is calculated. Sometimes, a like from someone with a lower open rank increases your points, but other times it doesn’t. The lack of clear guidelines and the vague instructions make it really frustrating @v

I see that my score is not advancing and my posts in some of them I receive good engagement, I have never gone over a score higher than 500 points. On the other hand, I have been around since July, my account is relatively new, but, as the system can benefit me if influencers have a bigger advantage. I think that small accounts need to be taken into account as well, because they receive engagement, but still, they are not taken into account.
