Watched it. Super reasonable take to me tbh. Citizens should have legal right over what happens to their data and a general protective law in the states is overdue and could fix a bunch of issues. Ppl could still opt out to sell their data then.

Two things I think she missed tho: 1) hampering all social media companies threatens the competitiveness of American companies versus foreign tech companies, which in turn threaten American hegemony. 2) the impact of social media on mental health is also something that should be addressed in regulation or programs.
