every week i create a new fid through warpcast to check how the onboarding flow changes through my own experience

guess what

no more 70 autofollow list

and that initial feed is now a cherry pick and seemingly unbiased selection of the best casts of the network

this is an important change. chapeau 🎩

When you sign up to Warpacst today, we will: 

1. Ask for your interests 
2. Show you an algo feed 
3. Ask you to follow people 

As you follow more people, we'll show you more stuff from your followers and less from the algo.

This is an experiment and ~ half of new users will see this today.

Is the list of recommended users public? 

Not yet, but we plan to make it more visible if you are selected for "new user recommendations" 

Will it always be a manual list? 
No, we think we can make it more automated over time by introducing some semantic analysis.

It's important to call out, the starting feed is still curated by Warpcast. 

The big difference is that we learn your preferences faster. If we show you casts from someone and you don't like them, we'll stop showing you that user pretty quickly.

How does the algo work? 

Warpcast maintains curated lists of people who post interesting content in each interest category. If you select an interest, we will show you recent content from those users up to 5 times. 

If you don't follow them, the algo feed will stop showing you content from those users.

Can existing users try this to in order to find new people to follow?

I wonder how you would measure success. 

Are you checking for 
- % of active users after 7/15/30 days? 
- % of active users that cast 5/10/15 posts?

Or something else?!

how do you/warpcast define 'interesting content'?

Best update for newcomers and for smaller accounts that now have an even greater chance to get these new joiners to follow them, awesome work!

This is a great community that I can find valuable information and opinions here. Also, maybe even some friends
