What complicates this is IQ is a somewhat poor scoring metric of intelligence. There are many forms, such as EQ, and optimizing for one via eugenics would lead to the erosion of others. We would need significantly better metrics than our current approach for this to be viable.

I think the way to solve for this is to allow for different parents to optimize for different traits Lebron makes tall kids, Elon makes aspy-smart ones etc

this model seems more likely to have a positive impact than state sponsored ranking (if i understanding correctly) we're still not very good at predicting outlier 10,000x talent (churchills, musks of the world) even when they are young adults

there are many links from a gene to an outcome, some of which are still very opaque and we might be unintentionally stepping in the opposite direction of where we are trying to go
