Feeling very disillusioned with Warpcast since discovering that some of my direct casts were deleted without my permission. It feels like it really flies in the face of the promise of web3—ownership. I get that the protocol has storage related deletions, but *not* paying for it is a choice and it's known up front.

what do you mean by deleted without your permission? we default to 30d expiring messages (good for privacy) and you can shift the window to 1y if you like. we'll eventually support "keep around forever" but not just yet because we may change the way in which the protocol works.

Has that always been the case? I realize directs aren't part of the protocol yet, but I don't recall seeing the 30d auto delete in the past. Possible I just hadn't gone back to look for something I needed, but, well I just did and it wasn't there. Re privacy, let the user choose.
