OMG, just found my old MP3 collection on an old backup. Over 100GB of music that I'd collected from 2002 to 2020, and thought I lost it during a moving. It's a father's day miracle indeed.

Hell yeah, went searching for my lost library recently. Found the old laptop and opened itunes to realize it's all there, except for the actual audio files. Somewhere in the old iTunes backup service and no idea how to actually download them

I absolutely miss my old library, but what I miss even more is the weird discovery/download process that used to exist. Like maybe you were getting the song you want, maybe you aren't. It takes 15 minutes to find out. Everything has weird metadata. Good luck.

Thank goodness you found it! I once thought I had lost my journals from between the ages of fourteen and twenty three, but I found them in an old backup as well and it felt like I had regained a piece of my soul.

Growing up, I thought downloading mp3s was my life's work. As I grew up, I switched to vinyl and streaming. It's funny how, despite technology, we keep coming back to analogs :)
