Warpcast is giving out $5 each day to the top 100 casters. Rewards are given based on the amount of engagement your casts get divided by the number of active followers you have. We'll run this experiment through the end of the year to see if it drives people to create more interesting content for Farcaster.

Prediction: Youโ€™ll see a suppression effect outside of the 100. Iโ€™d monitor the next 100-400 too and the churn in the top 100. Predictions: 1. Consistently top 100 casters will have LinkedIn-like banality to them; a formula unconsciously adapted to the algorithm 2. People who win once will likely get worse in their casting in the next cycle or two whether or not the win against. 3. Top people who are aware of the experiment but donโ€™t win will also worsen slightly due to perception of engagement farming incentives No free lunch theorem will eat this experiment

Is it based on how well the cast is doing? or does it look for more information? For example, we are seeing 100+ engagement on the frame that we built, but the cast itself has 5-6 engagement.

I'm really looking forward to the moment when someone will come up with an idea that doesn't reward the top accounts of Farcaster. Literally 90% or more of all the ideas we've seen to redistribute value through Farcaster always end up going to the same 100 accounts. It's kinda disheartening to be honest...

I see a flaw in this innovation of yours; unless, of course, weโ€™re only counting those accounts youโ€™ve been shilling since the dawn of time until recently to new users. Who else has enough followers to even dream of making it into the daily top 100? ๐Ÿ˜„ Can you show me an example of those, if they even exist? ๐Ÿ˜น
