I place a premium on most recent content. I understand that you don't want to do a pure chronological feed, but to the extent it factors into an overall higher promotion score, freshness is a priority--esp. since we're dealing with financial info. Eg Stock tickers are real time, not biggest gain in the last 2 hours.

Curious which direction "how often does the author cast" skew the ranking, and whether that is (1) channel specific (2) top cast specific

I love how the ranking part has the first two priorities sorted and then the engagement numbers kick in, making it more relevant to what I'd like to see because I've engaged with the author & how much they cast. Would love to see how it changes the feed today & next few days. Does this work on Priority or both?

Wait, remove casts that you've seen - and I thought I am going insane. Does this remove casts I like? I always thought the algo somehow hides our company updates for me. Is the intention for me to go to my profile and then click on likes to see those casts? It's really not intuitive and takes me out of the conversation

feedback - selection and subsequent steps should include few random casts from "new" accounts to incentivize them to get some reach and fight cold start problem - consider content of the cast and it's relevance to the user. I might still want to see say dev related posts even if it's outside my follow graph

Somehow the angle to disrupt Warpcast as a competing client is still to have a transparent selection of algorithms that you control. I personally want to see what is there and adapt what I want to see over time. I do not want to offload my choice and my interests to some opaque backend magic.

I feel like the Ranking logic might play too strong a role. I have multiple channels that I really want to see a selection of posts from in my home feed. often these are going to be channels with lots of casters, therefore i wouldn't be interacting with the authors very often, or at all, beforehand(cont)

If someone doesn't cast in a while does their score go up or down? If it doesn't account for dormant authors in some way (i.e. on vacation at a show, sick, etc.) then isn't it possible for the algorithm to starve out all but the most frequent and loudest voices?
