Creating a channel is rolling out in stages on Warpcast! 
1. Click create channel in the left sidebar (mobile) 2. Choose a unique name 
 3. Pay the channel fee in warps 

 If you don’t see it, try updating. If you don’t have warps, get some on web.

Why do channels cost warps? Just like domain names, we're adding a fee to discourage people from squatting popular names. Some part of the fees will be distributed back to popular channels. More details next week. Existing channels and leads get their first year free.

Channels are (partially) decentralized. 

 - Casts are available on the protocol. - Metadata is available over a Warpcast API 
 - Features like boost and hide not available outside Warpcast yet. We commit to decentralizing as much as possible if channels become popular over the next few months.
