We're launching spam filtering in Warpcast. If a conversation has spammy replies, they'll be hidden and you'll see a "Show more replies" button. Tapping this shows you the hidden replies. This is now the default experience if you have Priority mode switched off.

A big input into determining spam is user reports. If you come across spammy replies, you can help by tapping the kebab menu and hitting report on the cast. Starting today, we'll collect a little more information and also notify you when we've taken action based on your reports.

Thanks @v, @dwr.eth, some initial observations/comments: • it would be nice to be able to report spammy casts in fewer than five taps per cast. Looking at one of my casts now, I see 8 spammy replies, and I don’t particularly want to tap 40 times to report them. • any chance that casts reported by users can be immediately hidden for those users at least? I’m still seeing them after a refresh. • as others have commented previously, I kind of wish that Gift and Report weren’t right next to each other. Feels like a fat-finger error waiting to happen.

I have some friends who are being labeled as spam even though they are clearly not spam. Would you consider removing the label if I contacted you?

Thank you always, @v ! Does this feature only apply when Priority mode is off? Does it not work when it's on? Regardless of whether Priority mode is on or off, it's good that spam is removed from the feed.

is it supposed to show the root cast and replies again if you click “show more replies”, or just the filtered replies? (the former is how it’s behaving for me)
