Does a brand need both a Farcaster handle and a channel or is a channel sufficient? On X brands have handles because there are no channels. On Reddit brands use channels but the participants including brand reps are individual accounts. Here it seems like brand channels make sense, brand handles do not. Thoughts?

brands will need both i think: a support side with an fid and a managed channel with customers so they can figure out issues themselves. they also have totally different personalities. a Facebook Group has very different vibes versus a subreddit versus Instagram.

Agree; it's tempting to simplify and say a brand account isn't needed, but I see it as the source for support and announcements. In that way they don't necessarily need as much active engagement. more of a source of truth?
