a minute ago i had to flirt with the chef of an Italian restaurant just to get a pizza to-go.

waiter: “pizza? just one? takeaway? no, no, no.”

*a well-timed glance toward the open kitchen and a few playful jokes directed at the most charming chef*

chef: “mamma mia, only because you’re such a beautiful lady.”

then he even brought it out to me himself. really, only the strongest survive in european service
