Alright -- I got really into this idea yesterday (it's not a Bond film anymore) but, I did end up writing a 15-page 8-episode TV series outline for a film that takes place in the near future, would go something like this: A potentially AGI model emerges from a mysterious Chinese Hedge fund right as a populist billionaire AI first candidate runs for president that promises AI prosperity. Around the same time -- at a San Francisco AI lab, an AI researcher whistleblower at the populist billionaire's company 'commits suicide', leaving our protagonist one final message to look into her death. This is the thread that our protagonist tugs on to slowly start unraveling something much bigger than meets the eye... I feel like the tag line for the tv-series / book should be something like: - "When the reflection demands a painter -- who holds the brush?" - "What happens when the mirror asks, how it should look?"

I saw this months ago but never put the time to properly word how awesome it is. The homepage is a photo of a physical bookshelf that updates when the bookshelf changes (including the hyperlinks). topics ranged: - thinking is an anti pattern, if you have to think too much it’s a good indicator to do more instead. - often you progress from left to right, and u do it by experiencing more not thinking more - aging through the midwit meme: simpleton teens, midwit 20’s/30’s, enlightened 30’s/40’s. - truths are simple and often abstract, available to left side thru naivety and low iq, available to the right side thru experience and wisdom. the midwit probably doesn’t believe in any form of truth, cause they can’t know anything. and ya, as a recovering midwit very aware I’m midwitting the midwit meme

yeah i feel you - i'm in the same boat with fc being the biggest cause of procrastination! buoy kinda helped but i still struggle and scroll and get distracted. i think the mix of being a 'social network' vs 'social media' might contribute to it. there are people i care about seeing updates from (and have met irl) that I only interact with on farcaster. i don't feel the same about ig/twitter - most irl friends will text me. it's nice coming back to australia and having the afternoons off to focus, but the past couple months in nyc were nice - was able to meet up with fc people irl or text and still feel connected / up to date with fc without needing as much time on fc. maybe latenightcrew will help 😅
