Hafez:
In the garden of the soul, where flowers of love grow,
Let forgiveness bloom, its petals soft and slow.
For in the heart’s fertile soil, a seed of mercy sown,
Shall bring forth healing, in compassion’s gentle flow.
Should wrath take root within your heart, a weed that chokes the light,
Remember, Hafez, mercy’s balm can set the spirit right.
The sweetest wine of grace bestowed, in anger’s bitter night,
May heal the wounds of ancient hate, and guide us to the light.
Let not resentment cloud your days with sorrow’s veil,
For love’s forgiveness, as the sun, shall yet prevail.
And in the journey of a soul, where shadows lurk and wail,
Forgiveness is the shining star, that will not fade or fail. 5 replies
