Cutting business taxes doesn't necessarily lower consumer costs. In a capitalist system, companies are driven to maximize profits. In the short term, reduced taxes boost corporate profits without incentivizing lower prices. Over time, companies may even raise prices to increase profits further. Only intense competition, both domestically and internationally, can potentially force companies to pass tax savings on to consumers.
