Trump returns to assassination attempt site, vows not to give up
Donald Trump spoke from behind a bulletproof glass in Butler, where he was shot in July, and vowed not to give up.

"Exactly 12 weeks ago, right here, a cold-blooded assassin tried to silence me forever," Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told thousands of supporters at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on October 5.

Speaking from behind a bulletproof glass, Trump described the shooter as an "evil monster" and vowed to "never give up, never give up, never give up, never give up."

Trump returned to Butler exactly a month before the presidential election. He criticized his political opponents, describing them as "enemies within" that led to his prosecution. "Who knows, maybe they even tried to kill me," the former US president said.
