“You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches.”
This quote by Dita Von Teese is, without a doubt, my favorite. Why? Because it taught me the importance of being true to myself. It made me question:
Why should I emulate others and conceal my true nature? What’s the point of trying to be like someone else, knowing that some people will dislike us regardless, when we can simply be ourselves and face the same outcome?
imo there’s a big difference between the two: by trying to conform, you might earn others' approval, but risk losing your own self-love. By choosing authenticity, you learn to love yourself and become less affected by others' opinions
While it’s challenging, almost impossible at times, embracing our true selves and following our own path is, imo, the most rewarding choice we can make. It’s the only path to finding true peace within ourselves🌹 0 reply
