Why are there (comparatively) fewer literary NFT collections than other mediums?

Is it tougher to get eyes on long form work here? Or something else

Who has ideas on this? Tipping allowance goes to answers on this quoted cast today.

A magazine filled with (onchain) poetry. A fund to support poets.

Probably a matter of folks not used to reading verse.. And the cynical answer, we don't read anymore..

Maybe we don’t have enough tools to publish them, or maybe we need more writers & readers to discover this medium?

Bringing literature to a blockchain near you. Writer, storyteller and poet followed by over 1 million.

People can better envision a blockchain display case than a blockchain bookshelf. They can take in a work in a glance rather than committing days of free time to read a book. 

Plus there are tech challenges in minting a book that are still being solved. A new metadata standard, rights management, user privacy, encryption for piracy protection, etc. 

So much easier to drop a collection of JPEGs. As a result, some people don’t even know that NFTs can be books!

I personally think it’s an issue of standing out on a newsfeed - people are more likely to stop scrolling on an incredible and visually stunning piece of artwork.

An incredible and stunning piece of written work stands out far less, demands more time investment etc.
