why is there no letterboxd for books? the UX is superior to goodreads across the board

Good reads was shot before Amazon bought it and now it’s worthless.

just really bums me out the best site we have is ~universally disliked and hasn’t been updated in years🥲

I think because Amazon owns Goodreads + Audible + Kindle there's virtually no incentive for anyone to compete, and thus the platform has need to improve

Also came across lit.salon but never built a habit because I am a bit of an offline reading person and write down my own notes into books, then can't be asked to put so much effort into maintaining them online 😂

It looks much nicer than good reads tho
