I spent the first two years here listening to stories musicians told me about being absolutely fvcked over by Spotify One day one of the problematic Spotify executives joined warpcast. Dan recasted obviously because, of course, it was a strong validation for what he was building. A win The community, however fawned and it made me sideways because the know the truth Today Caitlyn Jenner prompted bankr on X. I feel the same happiness for Deployer and while totally grossed out everyone is so excited about her I feel these simultaneous feelings a lot in crypto. The cognitive dissonance is really difficult for me to resolve All that, I’m still team bankr. Just a little icked out

I genuinely wish I had the cavalier “it’s not that deep” disposition. I just do not

I understand the feeling. I think the community wants big wins for founders and builders; so when tech giants and whales step into the picture, everyone gives high fives because “hey, we’re reaching the masses!” But I can’t help think, are we not trying to fix what’s currently broken in the mainstream? Why should we make space for people who messed it up in the first place? My two cents… but one thing I’m hopeful about is decentralized social. Ever since the mass exodus from Clubhouse to (that other app) I was scratching my head trying to figure out why the NFT and crypto community ended up there. 🤷 Glad there are better options now.
