A warm welcome to my longtime IRL friend Michael (@popegrutch, aka “Pope”), who joined Farcaster today.

He calls himself a “librarian and old movie wierdo.” He completed Master’s programs in German History and Library and Archival Studies, and has worked as a book indexer.

He lives in Portland, and grew up in NYC. We’ve been friends for 10+ years, so I’ll take the liberty of describing him: erudite, witty, perceptive, considerate, and an excellent conversationalist.
